MISSION STATEMENT

To promote responsible choices, lessen the harm caused by gambling & its co-morbidities, and assist those

who are impacted, by providing education, treatment, research and support services to advance public

 welfare to all Australians.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

Minimising the harm caused by problem gambling and its co-morbidities by preventing it,  leading to the creation of a community that encourages early intervention and help-seeking.     

Encouragement of safer behaviours and surroundings that will lead to the creation of responsible  industries and a community that recognises and embraces responsible practices.    

A community that has access to highly effective problem gambling, drug and alcohol services and initiatives.  Creating conscientious communities capable of making decisions based on knowledge that is quickly  and easily understood regarding gambling, drug and alcohol-related activities.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Help Stop operates in accordance with the following principles when carrying out its initiatives and tasks:   

Fostering partnerships and teamwork in research, education, prevention, and treatment to promote a community-wide approach to minimising the harm caused by gambling, drugs and alcohol.     

Applying preventive, therapeutic, and communication strategies in accordance with evaluation and research results.
